"I love my life and the ones in it."

Hiya!
I would just like to say that the positive response to my plans has meant so much to me. It's only been about a week since I made this blog and my youth pastor posted it in the church e-mail newsletter. It's only been a week. One week. How insane. The response of my parents and family along with my friends that have contacted me means so much. It is truly a blessing that makes me think about how great the people around me are. I appreciate every positive word and thought that has been said to me and my mom these past few days. "I love my life and the ones in it."
Yeah, this post is mainly a thank you. Nothing new to report except that every day my excitement for this grows. My excitement for my friends who are going on trips this summer also grows with each day. I feel that this opportunity is so wonderful.

Thanks again! More soon :)
Much love,

The joys of photography.

My dear friends,
Just so you have a better idea of photography in my life... Photography became my passion my Junior year of high school when I took a visual arts class and learned how to develop my black and white film. Since then, I have done a lot of work with 35mm film with my Canon EOS Rebel, my Fisheye camera, and recently got a Holga camera. I really enjoy the quality of film and trying different types such as Fine Color or Red Scale. I also received a Digital SLR Canon EOS Rebel for graduation last year and have been working with that in addition to my work with film since then. All of that to say that I am pursuing a minor in Photography at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga starting next fall. This is to show that if you want to do a photo session with me, I am not completely lacking training. I have minimal training right now, but I am going to be learning a lot and experience is a great additional learning tool. Recently, my youth pastor put this blog in our church's news letter which meant a lot to me. The support of those around me is a great motivator to keep working towards my goal. That is all this post is really about. :) To give you a better idea of my photography background and how it is going to affect my future. I can't wait to use my passion for photography in my mission work. Thank you to everyone who reads this!
"Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter."
This quote describes what I am looking forward to happening on this trip. I hope to capture moments that God has provided and to be able to share them with you.
Here are some more photographs for you to look at. They are mainly of my friends because I take pictures of what I am around. <3
